NHR’s sales in Australia have risen 25 percent in the first quarter of 2009 compared to the same period last year.According to Glenn Fassett, general manager of Network Hardware Resale’s Asia-Pacific operations, the global recession has put an emphasis on cost containment, for large as well as mid-sized enterprises. “Our customers are focused on prioritising their IT spending, and pre-owned equipment provides a cost-effective alternative for network infrastructure,” he says. “Our Australian customers average 67 percent discounts, stretching their budgets 27 percent beyond the average 40 percent-off-list prices offered by OEMs.” News Facts
